Engineering, Economics Universities with Highest-Paid Graduates

Superjob for Students website listed best Russian universities by alumni salary

The rating tracks average income of Russian universities alumni who graduated in 2011-2016. Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) topped the list of technological universities with best-paid computer science graduates for a second consecutive year. Young specialists with degrees from MIPT earn 136,000 roubles a month on the average.

National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) is placed second; its alumni’s monthly pay averages 110,000 roubles. ITMO University moved up from fourth to third place, its graduates get 98,000 roubles a month. Novosibirsk State University was ranked fifth with technical specialty graduates’ average monthly salary at 90,000 roubles.

National University of Science and Technology MISiS climbed two places from 10th to 8th. Its graduates monthly pay is 83,000 roubles.  Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N.Yeltsin moved up from 10th to 9th place with alumni’s monthly salary at 82,000 roubles. Kazan (Volga region) Federal University ranked tenth by alumni’s salary (81,000 roubles).

The first place in university rankings by best-paid graduates working in economy and finance was shared by Higher School of Economics and Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, with graduates’ average monthly salary at 90,000 roubles.

Novosibirsk State University moved from 7th to 5th place (75,000 roubles per month) and Kazan (Volga region) Federal University climbed two slots to rank 8th (68,000 roubles per month). RUDN University ranked 10th with RUDN economists’ salaries at 63,000 roubles per month.
