40 foreigners from 6 countries have become first entrants of the programme.

The vast majority includes 30 students from India. They have shown great interest in this programme not only due to the fact that career of a doctor is considered to be one of the most prestigious jobs in India, but also because IKBFU Degree in Medicine is acknowledged by the Medical Council of India. Apart from that, there are a number of students from Brazil, Iraq, Iran, Egypt and Mexico.

Medical students have already started their studies. This academic year they are to become acquainted in depth with such disciplines as bioethics, anatomy, histology, embryology, cytology, bioorganic chemistry and more. Besides, international students are intensively learning Russian language and the speech culture. They are expected to pursue their training at the IKBFU Clinical and Diagnostic Center, as well as in Kaliningrad city hospitals.

Adaptation period has not finished yet, however by this time all domestic problems are left behind. Students are attending seminars and lectures with great enthusiasm, learning Russian and getting ready for the upcoming national cultures festival which is going to be held at the University soon.
