International students have already begun their studies.

Doctors are among the most respected professions in India, while the Russian medical education has traditionally a very good reputation. Russian diplomas of higher education are recognized by state and allow practicing medicine.

In 2016 the Far Eastern Federal University has launched a six-year programme General Medicine in English. The first thirty students are from India, they have to сomplete successfully about 60 courses. The basic courses include Anatomy, Pathologic anatomy, Biology, Medical chemistry, Histology, General medicine, Nursing care and the Latin language. The students will do practical training at the University Medical Center and Vladivostok city hospitals.

The teaching is done in English, but the students will also learn Russian in order to adapt better to a new environment. The FEFU’s leadership plans to widen the range of English-taught medical programmes, because they are very popular among international students.
