International Friendship Day at MIPT

Students from 14 countries joined the festival.

Representatives of Latin America, Asia, Africa, Middle East and CIS countries took part in a show in Concert Hall of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Students from Mexico, Myanmar, Brazil, South Africa and Vietnam performed national songs and dances. Their peers from Peru, Salvador, Costa Rica, Syria, China and Tajikistan talked about the culture of their countries and presented thematic photos and videos. Mongolian students recited poetry devoted to their homeland while Indian students gave a master class in Hindi. Sampling of national dishes wrapped up the celebration. Guests were treated to Vietnamese and Myanmarian pancakes, Tajik pies, Indian sweets and different brands of tea.

MIPT is a leading Russian engineering university providing training in maths, physics and computer science. The university is listed in prestigious QS, THE and ARWU world university rankings. There are 800 international students from 54 countries currently studying at MIPT.
