More Than 2,000 Foreigners Admitted to Far Eastern Federal University

Students from 67 countries entered FEFU during 2017 intake, up 15 countries from last year.

About 1,500 foreigners enrolled in basic programmes at various education levels, from bachelor’s degree to medical internship. Another 900 will take a year-long preparatory course at FEFU Russian Language and Culture Centre. China, Korea, Vietnam and Uzbekistan have long been the top origin countries for international students at FEFU.

India joined the group this year. Medical Care programme gathered three times more Indians than last year. The number of students from Colombia has increased as well. FEFU has first-years from other Asian and Latin American countries (Bahrein, Iran, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Chile and Cuba) as well as from Eastern Europe (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina). Many students came from Africa; FEFU has first ever students from Algeria, Republic of Ghana, Congo, Mali, Somalia, Ethiopia and South Africa.
