Prix de Espace en Industrie is a contest between student projects in the field of aerospace industry, a biannual event in Paris supported by the GIFAS association of aerospace companies. Russia was represented by the RocketLAV club team from Samara University. It was the only foreign team to reach the onsite round of the contest. The project for the launch of a two-stage experimental rocket was presented in English. Samara students carried out a successful experiment at the French test range Camp de Gier at the C Space international student forum last July. The jury that included experts from leading French aerospace companies and associations named the Samara University team a contest laureate.

Samara University is a multi-disciplinary university. It is best known as a unique centre for training aerospace technology and aviation specialists thanks to its powerful R&D facilities such as a test aerodrome and skilled teachers.
