TPU and Heriot-Watt University Present Joint International Oil and Gas Programmes

Tomsk Polytechnic University and notable British University Heriot-Watt developed three master's programmes in English in oil, gas and geology. All entrance exams will be held online. Submit your application now!

1. Petroleum Engineering, 1 year
A great programme to become a petroleum engineer. It will allow you to study the theoretical and practical aspects of oil field development, oil and gas geology, drilling, well logging, hydrodynamic modelling and research, oil production techniques and technologies, economic efficiency, etc. Graduates will be able to create complex field development projects and introduce new technologies in oil production.

2. Reservoir Evaluation and Management, 1 year
The students of the programme learn the latest techniques for field development, geophysical and hydrodynamic studies of wells, drilling and production and its economic aspects. Graduates will be able to work in the field of geological modelling, assessment of oil and gas reserves, creation of the latest methods of analysis and production forecast, etc.

3. Oil and Gas Engineering, 2 years
This programme allows you to choose one of two profiles: Petroleum Engineering and Reservoir Evaluation and Management. Learn to create complex field development projects and complex geological models, assess oil and gas reserves, develop and launch new technologies in oil production. At the end of the first year, students undergo practical training in large oil and gas companies. After graduation, you will be able to pursue a career as a senior engineer or senior manager in companies leading the industry.

These master's programmes are suitable for bachelors as the second stage of the study, as well as for working specialists as international level professional retraining. It is worth noting the short term of the two programmes – 1 year. It's still a full master course and the graduates will receive the prestigious Heriot-Watt master's degrees.
