90 Foreign Nationals Complete University of Tyumen Foundation Programmes

After the training students will be able to enrol at the Russian university.

University of Tyumen’s Preparatory Department has held a graduation party for foreign nationals; 65 of them took a standard nine-month programme and another 25 choose a more intensive seven-month course. Four fields of study were available: economics, engineering and technology, natural sciences and humanities. Besides delving into engineering disciplines, all students worked hard to learn Russian and become proficient enough to be able to take a Russian-medium degree programme. They passed the final examinations and got certificates confirming their knowledge; 20 learners graduated with top grades including the Chinese nationals sent to University of Tyumen under the bilateral agreement between UT and China University of Petroleum.

A majority of UT Preparatory Department graduates applied for UT bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes; 20 people decided to take an advanced course in Russian. More than 70 applications were submitted by new prospective international students who want to take UT foundation programmes starting September.
