Students from more than 100 countries are going to study in Russia in 2016.

The application season for foreign students is in full swing. The universities are processing hundreds of requests from international students wishing to enroll in government-funded programs.

In 2016, the selection procedure was changed – now applicants have the opportunity to register and ssend copies of the documents via the internet. 

According to Rossotrudnichestvo, technical and medical majors are especially popular this year as well as arts and culture programs. At the moment, a total of 221,400 foreign students are enrolled in Russian universities.
