HSE Launches New Masters Programme

Higher School of Economics Moscow Department of Communications, Media and Design is launching a new English-taught MA programme “International News Production.” It targets Russian and international bachelor’s degree holders who plan to further their knowledge in the field of media. Students take a two-year course in modern mass media systems and management principles. They learn to create a unique content, take part in dedicated research and defend their theses at the end of studies. Tuition fee is 400,000 rubles ($6,150) a year.

To be admitted to the programme, candidates have to pass a portfolio contest and an English examination which includes a listening comprehension and test. Prospective students have to prepare a cover letter in English, a copy of the degree certificate in any specialty, the projects proving working mass media experience (publications, radio/television materials) and scientific achievement certificates.
