International Olympiad Open Doors: Apply in Time

Winners get graduate scholarships at one of 500 Russian universities.

Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project is an international Olympiad held by top Russian universities: HSE, MIPT, MISIS, MEPhI, MSMU, SPbPU, ETU “LETI”, TSU, TPU, NSU, SUSU, University of Tyumen, UrFU, SibFU, IKBFU, RUND University, FEFU, KFU, UNN, Samara University and ITMO University. The academic competition is open to foreign nationals who hold a bachelor’s degree or complete their undergraduate studies in 2020. The problems are presented in Russian or English depending on the candidate’s preferred language of instruction. The Olympiad covers 11 fields: mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering and technology, business and management, psychology, political science, economics and linguistics.

The tryouts are a portfolio contest which will run till 18 December 2019. A candidate has to register on the Olympiad website, fill out the application, describe their academic achievements and attach a cover letter. The first round results will be announced on 30 December. Top scorers qualify for the finals test to be held from 15 January through 30 January. The tryouts schedule in each field is linked to one’s personal account and also appears on the Olympiad website. The winners, to be listed before or on 20 February 2020, are entitled to graduate scholarships at one of 500 Russian universities.
