Portfolio Contest Top Scorers to Get into ITMO University

The winners are admitted to ITMO graduate programmes without entrance examinations.  

ITMO University is holding a contest for international applicants who plan to enrol in masters programmes as self-funded students (both Russian and English medium programmes are available). Fields of study range from information technology and robotics to culture and arts. To take part in the contest, a candidate has to prepare a story of self in free form, a cover letter, a reference from the teacher and proof of research achievements (articles in science journals, participation in conferences or exhibitions, scientific awards, grants etc). A candidate has to send a copy of the certificate of undergraduate degree in the appropriate field and the document confirming proficiency in English (if an English medium programme has been chosen). Application deadline: 2 June, 2019. The portfolio is assessed on a 100-point scale. If a candidate scores over 75 points, they are admitted to the selected masters programme without further tests. The winners will be listed on the ITMO website on 15 June. To apply and get detailed information on the application procedure, create a personal account and write to the University. ITMO University offers prospective international students a wide range of graduate programmes, including 22 English-medium programmes such as Big Data and Machine Learning, Light Guide Photonics, Food Biotechnology, Art and Science, Quantum Materials etc. Tuition fee ranges from 234,000 rubles to 306,000 rubles a year ($3,600 to $4,710).
