The first students will move in as early as January 2020.

People’s Friendship University of Russia launched an 18-storey dormitory with a floor space of 13,300 square metres on its Moscow campus in Miklukho-Maklai Street. Two hundred and seventy-four rooms can accommodate 563 people, including students, guest teachers and graduates in advanced training. The new dormitory is a modern and comfortable facility having all amenities: spacious rooms with furniture and household appliances, bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, free Internet and a parking lot on the dorm premises. RUDN Rector Vladimir Filippov said that the university regularly launched lodging units on the campus. Four new dormitories have been populated since 2000, and the construction of another two 18-storey buildings with a floor space of 15,000 square metres each will begin in 2020. One such dormitory can accommodate 1,026 people.

The RUDN University campus accommodates an international community of some 8,000 students from across the world. Aside from teaching blocks and dormitories, the campus has shops, hairdressers, a bank branch, laundries, a driving school, workout rooms and stadiums, a health centre and cafes and restaurants offering national dishes from around the world.
