St. Petersburg Named Among Best 10 European Cities for Tourists

Good news for international students who like to travel.

TripAdvisor has placed Russia’s “northern capital” 8th on the list of the best cities in Europe. Other Russian cities named in the rating were Sochi (19th place) and Moscow (24th).

TripAdvisor named the best location-points in Europe on the basis of the number of positive reviews left by tourists on TripAdvisor.com over the past year.

St. Petersburg also ranks highly in the global rating of best cities (14th place) and is way ahead of all other Russian cities. Visitors to this beautiful and quaint, even hauntingly elusive jewel of our history are impressed by its architecture and its museums, especially the Hermitage and St. Isaac’s Cathedral.

In addition, the city is home to 103 universities, so if you become a student here you will be living in a truly captivating environment. Or…if you choose to visit St. Petersburg simply as a tourist – you will find that it lives up to its billing as the “Venice of the North”.
