The first group of Perm University’s foreign students got diplomas in Pharmacy

In January, students from Iraq got diplomas certifying their completion of the course in Pharmacy. They became the first foreign graduates in this specialization in Perm State University (PSU).

Classical universities do not offer programs in this field in departments of chemistry. But in 2016, Perm University’s faculty of chemistry launched a program in Pharmacy in the Russian language, and a year later, in English.

We are ready to broaden the geography and accept students from various countries. I believe pharmacy is in demand in very different regions. Our faculty’s graduates have an advantage, because their knowledge and skills are a combination of the classical fundamental approach and cutting-edge applied practices”, - comments Irina Mashevskaya, the dean of PSU’s faculty of chemistry.

Students of Pharmacy learn how to design and produce medications, research into the pharmacological activity of medicines, as well as to develop strategies of their promotion in the market and establish pharmaceutical companies.
