Tomsk Polytechnic University: Get Two Master’s Degrees in 2.5 Years

Prospective students now have an opportunity to take two master’s programmes simultaneously.

Mechanical Engineering + Innovation dual programme is open to foreign citizens, including Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) residents. Prospective students from Belarus, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan can seek government scholarships. Tuition fee for Mechanical Engineering is 187,000 rubles a year for foreign citizens from other countries; for Innovatics it is 90,000 rubles for a year and half.

Dual degree candidates initially enrol in the programme “Automation of Technological Processes and Production in Machine Building.” After completing the first year of mechanical engineering studies, students apply for a second master’s programme, “Business in Innovations.” Parallel study programmes will require 2.5 years to complete.

Students will engage in interdisciplinary research focusing on such topics as “Innovation process and mechanical engineering projects management.” Programme competencies include feasibility study, commercialisation and innovative product promotion. Students earn two master’s degrees upon completion of the programme. Application deadline is 9 August 2017.
