TPU Olympiad for International Students: Registration Open

Olympiad winners are admittеd to university master’s programme without entrance examinations and enjoy free tuition.

National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University academic competition “Breakthrough” is open to senior Russian-speaking students and holders of bachelor’s and specialist’s degrees from universities of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Russia. The Olympiad consists of two stages. To participate in online tryouts, sign into Olympiad website with Vkontakte or Facebook, list your study achievements and take a test. The student has 36 hours to solve the problems. The first round will run till 13 March 2018; the results are due to be published by 19 March. Top scorers qualify for the onsite round to be held in March-April.

Prior to the finals, prospective students have to fill in a form and choose three of 34 available master’s fields such as physics, informatics and computer engineering, instrument engineering, heat and power engineering, management etc.; see the complete list on the university website. TPU will name the winners in May; graduate programmes start in September. National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University is a leading Russian engineering university. In 2017, it had more than 4,000 international students from 50 countries.
