UrFU: admission campaign during the 100th anniversary

The popularity of the Ural Federal University among international applicants continues to grow, and the results of the admission campaign-2020 confirm this.

This year, more than 700 people from all over the world have become students of UrFU. 600 have entered bachelor and speciality programmes, and another 134 have chosen masters.

The geographical diversity of the nations, from which these students are coming, is also impressive: 49 countries from Africa, Central and Southeast Asia, Latin America, the USA and the CIS. All of them chose exciting and promising fields: Construction, Power and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, International Relations, Economics, Management, Philology, Linguistics and Personnel
Management.

Admission to graduate school is not yet completed, but 35 citizens of Egypt, Eritrea, India, Nigeria, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Yemen and Bangladesh have already begun their path to the PhD theses. Many of these young scientists will study English-language programmes such as Computer Science and Computer Engineering, Chemical Technology, Economics, Linguistics and Literary Studies, Political Science and Regional Studies, Mathematics and Mechanics, Philosophy, Ethics and religious studies.

2020 is a landmark year in the history of the Ural Federal University – 100 years since its foundation. Over the years, the establishment achieved a significant position in the global educational arena and offers more than 400 modern programmes in various fields, extensive research opportunities, as well as student exchanges with 109 partner universities from 34 countries and a chance to receive double diplomas.
