UrFU to Hold Russian Language Festival in Mongolia
Guests are invited to linguistic classes and career guidance events.
On 23 June - 13 July, Ulaanbaatar will host the Cyrillic Fest linguistic festival for schoolchildren and students interested in the Russian language and culture and planning to get higher education in Russia. The festival will be carried out by Ural Federal University teachers and Russian and Mongolian students from different UrFU departments. The programme features many interesting and useful events. Participants will learn Russian songs to take part in a karaoke contest. They can join amulet and toy-making master classes, a language quiz and a quest, learn about traditional Russian sports, national dishes, classic and modern films and drama and stage plays. UrFU will present its humanities and engineering majors and arrange a meeting with prominent alumni who live and work in Mongolia, for example, UrFU’s honorary Doctor Zandaakhüügiin Enkhbold, chairman of the State Great Khural. The festival will run at three venues: Mongolian State University of Education, Mongolian University of Science and Technology and National University of Mongolia.
