UT Invites Foreign Nationals to Autumn Diplomacy School

The international school in Public Diplomacy: Siberian Dimension, a project by University of Tyumen Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities, will take place in Tyumen on 24-30 September. Undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students from Russia and other countries proficient in English and interested in diplomacy are welcome. The programme is focused on public diplomacy of Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany and China. Students will attend lectures addressing various forms of foreign policy strategy, public diplomacy history and theory, business diplomacy, ethnic and political situation in the Tyumen region and other topical issues. Classes are conducted by teachers from University of Tyumen, Higher School of Economics (Moscow), European University at St Petersburg and visiting professors from foreign universities such as Uppsala University (Sweden) and University of Edinburgh (Scotland). This is a tuition free programme; the participants only pay travel expenses and accommodation fees. To apply, the candidate has to fill out a form on the UTMN website by September 15, 2018, and attach a short resume, a cover letter and references from their university in Russian or English. Participation in the autumn school is an opportunity for international students to learn more about diplomacy and get to know University of Tyumen and teachers.
