Polytechnic University introduces the city: international students have been on excursions

To support international students in the current international environment, the SPbPU international Office organized a series of informative excursions to the sights of St. Petersburg and its suburbs. The number of participants approached a hundred, and the list of countries they came fr om reflected the cultural diversity of Polytechnic University: students fr om Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Cuba, Egypt and many other countries joined the tours.

The participants had a sightseeing tour of St. Petersburg and visited St. Isaac’s Cathedral. Another day, they were taken on a boat ride along rivers and canals, after which they went to the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. Many of the participants, especially the students from China, were impressed by the tour of Lenin sites. International students visited historical and cultural museum complex in Razliv, wh ere the famous «Shalash» monument is located, then they went upstairs on the deck of the cruiser «Aurora». The cycle of events ended with a trip to Peterhof, wh ere participants admired the Grand Peterhof Palace, fountains, and the architectural harmony of the Lower Park.

The excursions were unforgettable, we visited one of the most amazing and beautiful parks in the world, learned a lot of new things and had a great time. I want to note the excellent level of organization. It was a great pleasure to see the sights of St. Petersburg”, said Cerla Carla, a student from Ecuador.
