RUR Annual Rankings Published
Round University Ranking has listed 82 domestic higher education centres.
Russia's ranking agency RUR has released the results of annual survey which includes 82 domestic universities. Moscow State University is the leader followed by National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and National Research Tomsk State University. The top ten includes Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Saint Petersburg State University, ITMO University, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, National University of Science and Technology MISIS, National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University and Lobachevsky University.The universities were assessed based on 20 performance indicators which were divided into four groups: quality of teaching (accounts for 40 percent of ranking), quality of research (40 percent), international outlook (10 percent) and financial stability (10 percent). Universities were also subranked based on each of these criteria. In terms of teaching, the three leaders are MSU, TSU and MEPhI; the top three for research are MEPhI, TSU and MIPT; MSU, TSU and MISIS are best by international outlook and the top three for financial stability are TPU, MIPT and MSU.
The above universities are also listed by international ranking agencies. For example, MSU, MEPhI and MIPT are in the top 100 of QS Rankings by Subject.
