Lomonosov Moscow State University tops the Russian league at 72nd position; the runner-up is Higher School of Economics which moved up from the 201-250 group into the 176-200 group. They are followed by St Petersburg State University and National Research Tomsk State University in the 201-250 group and Kazan Federal University (301-400). Ural Federal University appeared in the rankings for the first time as it entered the 301-400 group.
