This year the Russian nuclear production industry is celebrating 75 years. Several specialized universities with the support of the Rosatom Holding, State Atomic Energy Corporation are actively developing educational programmes for nuclear power engineers.

On August 20, 1945, the development of nuclear power in the USSR commenced. In 1954 the world's first nuclear power plant started operations in Obninsk. To honour the anniversary, Rosatom has prepared a celebration programme of open online events including lectures, interviews and conferences.

National Research Nuclear University MEPhI is one of the leading universities in training energy industry specialists. There are more than 40 fundamental and short-term programmes in Nuclear Energy and Technology for you to choose, many are taught in English. Here you can participate in research from the very first year. More than 1000 foreign nationals from India, Egypt, Bolivia, Turkey, Nigeria, CIS and other countries are currently studying at the university.

You can also take the first step towards a career in the energy industry with Tomsk Polytechnic University. For example, bachelor and master programmes in Nuclear Physics and Technology or speciality in Nuclear Power Plants: Design, Operation and Engineering. Like the students who recently got their diplomas and studied in TPU in cooperation with the Egyptian-Russian University. Another joint project began developing with the University of Debrecen (Hungary) and is set to train nuclear industry specialists.

SPbPU also offers many fascinating programmes of various levels in the field of nuclear energy. The university has been successfully cooperating with various international organisations, such as the International Atomic Energy Agency, SOKENDAI University, and others.

At UrFU you will be able to study programmes for design, operation and maintenance of nuclear plants during the speciality programme and continue your research in graduate school.

New projects in the field are launching by universities all the time. SUSU, together with the Russian Federal Nuclear Center, is developing two new master's programmes: Physical And Mathematical Modeling Of Fast Processes With Phase And Chemical Transformations, A Programme Complex For Modeling The Behavior Of Continuous Environments Under Dynamic Loads. The International Research Center for Advanced Nuclear Technologies, a project of FEFU and Rosatom, is also preparing new educational programmes for students and young scientists.

A profession in nuclear energy offers bright perspectives in any country in the world. Choose a programme in the field of Nuclear Energy and Technology and start your path to a dream career now.
