HSE University Centre of Preparatory Programmes for International Students
Preparatory programmes for international students are an excellent opportunity to learn Russian and prepare for training on Russian-taught undergraduate and graduate programmes at HSE University or other Russian universities chosen by the applicant. The Centre admits foreigners with basic or no knowledge of Russian. Training can be provided to scholarship and self-funded students; the latter have to submit an application.
Self-funded training options:
Basic course

At the Center of HSE University International Preparatory Programmes, you can pass a certified exam in Russian as a foreign language (TRKI, levels A1-C2).
