All the programmes are two years long.

Medical residency is an important stage in doctors’ postgraduate training. FEFU School of Biomedicine has announced 17 residence tracks, including Obstetrics and Gynecology, Anesthesiology, Therapy, Endocrinology, Surgery, Pediatrics etc. The programmes will be taught in Russian, so international students are invited to first master it during a foundation course at FEFU Center for Russian Language and Culture.

Residency students will study their majors in-depth, perform diagnostics, monitor patients and take part in surgeries (in certain tracks) in the FEFU Medical Center. FEFU professors, Doctors and Habilitated Doctors together with the clinic staff will mentor the students.

Graduates of several foreign medical institutes, including those from Latin America, have already taken interest in these programmes. Moreover, FEFU launched a General Medicine programme in 2016 and 30 young people from India currently studying there will also be able to join those residency programmes.
