The SuperJob students portal ranked Russian engineering universities by graduates’ earnings.

The survey targeted average salaries of young specialists in 2012 through 2017. The highest wages (150,000 rubles or $2,500 per month) were paid to IT experts who graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Bauman Moscow State Technical University was second with graduates earning 130,000 rubles ($2,167) per month, on the average. The third place was shared by National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and ITMO National Research University whose graduates’ monthly salaries averaged 120,000 rubles ($2,000). The top ten leaders include Lomonosov Moscow State University, Novosibirsk State University, Moscow Power Engineering University, Higher School of Economics, Kazan Federal University, Ural Federal University, National University of Science and Technology MISIS and others.

Graduates of several universities reported an increase in wages compared with 2017. ITMO University graduates accounted for the largest increase (22,000 rubles or $367). Bauman Moscow State Technical University graduates’ income increased by 20,000 rubles ($333) and MIPT graduates’ income by 14,000 rubles ($233).
