Students from Greece and Cyprus took a Russian language course and connected with the Russian culture in the country’s second largest city.

Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI” has held the short summer programme “Russian Cultural Treasures in Language Lessons.” Students from Greece and Cyrpus spent two weeks in St Petersburg to perfect their written and spoken Russian and learn about Russian history and culture. The students studied grammar, made up dialogues, sang songs from Russian cartoons and played games. LETI teachers took them to museums, churches, city parks and cafes. They saw top places of interest such as the Hermitage and Saint Issac’s Cathedral and visited the Tsarskoye Selo (suburban residence of Russian tsars), Peterhof and Kronstadt. All the school participants have received summer course completion certificates.

Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI” holds linguistic summer schools for the eighth consecutive year to help foreigners improve their Russian language skills and prepare for enrolling in basic Russian-taught programmes. The university offers three Russian language summer schools for beginners (A1 level), intermediate students (A2-B1) and advanced learners (B2-C1). LETI also offers pre-university training in field-specific disciplines.
