Russian as a foreign language

Children and teenagers from Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan became winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL), History and Culture of Russia. The event was dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Nevsky and the 200th anniversary of the birth of F.M. Dostoevsky.

Our young compatriots and foreigners aged fr om seven to nineteen took part in the Olympiad. Participants went through four rounds, demonstrating knowledge and skills in reading and writing, as well as the history and culture of Russia within the quiz.

The winners were determined in the Russian-speaking and foreign groups and in three age categories. The jury included Russian teachers working in Russian schools abroad and educational institutions at Russian embassies, as well as students and representatives of organizations of Russian compatriots.

For those who want or are already planning to study in Russia in Russian, it will be useful to pass the test in Russian as a foreign language (TRKI/TORFL). This is an international state exam to determine the level of Russian language proficiency. It is not necessary to have a certificate upon admission, each university decides on its own whether to request a certificate from an applicant or not. However, in some cases, having a TRKI/TORFL certificate can be an additional advantage for admission. To clarify information about the package of documents, contact the university wh ere you want to enroll.
