The annual event gathered Russian and international students.

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University hosted the annual friendship festival to bring together young people from across the world. More than 200 students performed on the stage, including 30 nationals from Salvador, Colombia, Mexico, Morocco, Lebanon, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and other countries. Fourteen teams had prepared spectacular shows. Higher School of Biotechnology and Food Science replicated a Brazilian carnival theme. Institute of Physics, Nanotechnology and Telecommunications students danced Spanish Flamenco, while Humanitarian Institute students described university studies in Mexico. Other participants in the festival introduced guests to the culture of Japan, Cuba and Egypt. At the close of the show, the artists came onto the stage to perform “We’re the World,” the famous song written by by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie.

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University is one of Russia’s oldest engineering higher education centres established in 1899. It offers a wide range of education programmes of different levels; some of them are taught in English.
