Tashkent will host an international education fair on 28-30 March, 2019.  

High schoolers who want to enrol in undergraduate programmes at higher education centres abroad, as well as university graduates considering masters or PhD studies are welcome. The fair will bring together universities from across the world. Russia will be represented by Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Higher School of Economics and other universities. Presentations include information on admission rules for foreign nationals, application dates, the education certificate and university degree recognition procedure, entrance examinations, fields of study, education programmes, university campuses and students’ living conditions. Career tests and consultations will be arranged as part of the education fair. Venue: Tashkent, Shota Rustaveli Street, 22.

Russian education is popular with Uzbek nationals. In the academic year 2016/2017, Russian universities were providing training to more than 16,000 Uzbek students; in 2017/2018 their number increased to 20,000. It is a top CIS country of origin for international students in Russia. A majority of Uzbek students opt for self-funded study. Among the popular fields are oil/gas field development, nuclear physics, power engineering, economics and management, medicine and linguistics. The main advantages of studying in Russia are affordable fees, a large range of professions to choose from and double degree programmes.
