Student Achievements in 2018-2019

Victories in Olympiads, scholarships

• 8 students got scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation and 21 students received a scholarship from the Government of the Russian Federation in 2019.

• 5 graduate students of RUDN University became winners of the scholarship competition of the V. Potanin Charity Fund.

• More than 40 RUDN students won gold, silver and bronze medals at the Open International Student Internet Olympiads on the history of Russia, computer science, the Russian language, sociology, cultural studies, law, physics, material resistance, chemistry, economics and ecology.
  

• In 2018, more than 100 students won gold, silver and bronze medals at international, all-Russian and inter-university Olympiads on information technology, ecology, engineering, medicine, Russian history, Russian, philology, economics, management, sociology, law and cultural studies.
  

• In 2018, RUDN University students published 81 papers in journals from the Higher Attestation Commission list, 58 in Wos / Scopus magazines and 93 in journals published abroad.
  

• In 2018, more than 100 projects of RUDN students took prizes in international and national competitions (International Technology Competition among student projects “Imagine Cup Hackathon”; strategic project competition “Youth Model of the Project Office“ Sustainable Development of the Russian Arctic”; “Smart Moto Challenge” - International Motocross Championship; Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, etc.).

• Aysilu Latypova (Russian Federation), a student at the Law Institute - best speaker of the “Model of the European Court of Human Rights” contest.

• The Formula Student team of the Institute of Innovative Engineering Technologies of RUDN University - winner at the Smartmoto Challenge International Competitions in Spain.

Sports achievements

• Student of the Faculty of Philology Zoya Schurova (RF) - 16-time champion of Russia in swimming among persons with disabilities, a member of the Russian national swimming team. Zoya has been invited to the European Championship and Paralympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.

• Student of the Faculty of Philology Maxim Ionin (RF) - winner of the Moscow Open Beach Tennis Games. In July 2019, he won the bronze medal in the Russian Beach Tennis Cup.
  

• RUDN women's volleyball team - 5-time champion of the International Student Games: EuroBarcelona-2018, EuroMilan-2017, EuroBarcelona-2017, EuroMadrid-2016, Euro-Valencia-2015.

• Student of the Institute of Foreign Languages ​​Konstantin Abdula-Zade (RF) - winner of the World Sumo Championship in Japan in the weight category up to 115 kg.

• Maxim Chumachenko (RF), student of the Faculty of Science - 3 gold medals in swimming at the XXXIX EuroIstanbul - 2019 International University Sports Festival and the best athlete of the tournament.

• Student of the Faculty of Science Vladimir Kozyrev (RF) - 4 gold medls in swimming at the XXXIX International University Sports Festival "EuroIstanbul - 2019".

• More than 180 students became winners and laureates of regional, national, international festivals and competitions (FESTOS; festivals of patriotic songs: “Carnation”, “Spring ‘45”, “Cranes over Russia”, “Red Carnation” named after I.Kobzon, inter-regional festival-competition "Altar of the Fatherland", international competition "Voice of the Future", competition "Champions Cup", etc.
