Bhattarai Hari has received his M.D. diploma and a commemorative medal with a certificate.

The 100,000th graduate has completed the Medical Care Programme in Russian with flying colours. When the young man came to study in Russia in 2010, he did not speak a word of Russian; at present, he speaks Russian fluently and is doing well at the university.

Bhattarai plans to do a RUDN clinical internship and then enrol in postgraduate studies. He said that Russia had up-to-date medical technologies and the system approach to prophylactics and therapy. The Nepali alumnus would like to emulate Russian experience and introduce periodic health examination in his home country.

Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia first opened its doors to students in Moscow in 1960. It provided specialist’s training to students from China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Ecuador, Columbia, Nigeria and many other countries. Today, RUDN brings together 7,500 students from 154 countries. International prospective students can choose majors in Russian and in English in different fields of study, from medicine and linguistics to economics and oil and gas field development.
