HSE St Petersburg Offers New Double Degree Programmes

The Russian university and its Italian partner will run English medium programmes.

Higher School of Economics St Petersburg branch jointly with University of Rome Tor Vergata are launching undergraduate double degree programmes Political Science and World Politics and International Business and Management Studies. The first aims to train international relations experts specialising in Northern Europe, Southeast Asia or BRICS countries. Tuition fee is 300,000 rubles a year ($4,840). International Business and Management Studies is for those who wish to make a career in business development and business analysis. Tuition fee is 320,000 rubles a year ($5,160). Length of study is four years including one year at the partner university. Graduates will be awarded bachelor’s degree from both universities.

To enrol, applicants are requested to sign into the HSE website by 10 August 2018 and take entrance tests. Political Science and World Politics candidates have to take history and English, and International Business and Management Studies candidates take mathematics and English. The tests are held online (the link to the test will be emailed to the candidate) or at the HSE campus in St Petersburg (the schedule is on the website). Candidates are awarded points for completed tests. Applicants might get a discount depending on the overall score.

Higher School of Economics is located in Moscow and has branches in St Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Perm. It is a young university which already has the reputation of a prestigious Russian higher education centre as its international rankings show. HSE is in 32nd position in Britain’s Times Higher Education Emerging Economies University Rankings 2018. HSE graduate programmes are in the top 100 QS Business Masters Rankings. Also, HSE is the only Russian university which appears in THE Young Universities Rankings 2018 (84th position).
