MEPhI Placed Among World’s Top 100 Universities by Physical Sciences

The Russian university was included in updated THE subject rankings.

Russia’s National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) was not originally listed in the THE report released in September 2016. 

MEPhI had been removed from prestigious rankings due to THE technical error as its experts omitted a MEPhi academic paper. THE rectified the error placing MEPiI 84th in world rankings by physics, the second Russian university in this category after Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology placed 78th.

In 2016, THE released lists of 100 top universities for each of eight subject areas. Highly placed in THE tables, MEPhI is also in QS 100 top world universities rankings by physics and astronomy.
