Russian universities in the "Three University Missions" ranking

The Moscow international "Three University Missions" ranking includes 1,500 higher education establishments from 97 countries. 101 of them are Russian.

The top one hundred of the world ranking includes three universities from Moscow: Lomonosov Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University and MIPT. The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology has improved its stand by 5 points and now occupies the 46th place globally and the 3rd place among the Russian universities. The 4th place in Russia and 120th in the world is held by the HSE. MEPhI closes the top five leaders.

The top 10 Russian universities include NSU, TSU, TPU and UrFU. ITMO University surpassed its' last year's results by taking the 7th place in the local group and moving up 24 positions in the world rankings.

Such universities as SPbPU, MISiS, UNN, KFURUDN University and MSMU are in Russia's top 20. IKBFU, Siberian Federal University, University of Tyumen and PetrSU also hold significant positions in the ranking.

“Three University Missions” exists since 2016 and takes three parameters into account in its' assessment: scientific activity, education quality and interaction with society. Russian universities are ranked on a par with the world`s leading universities, such as Cambridge University, American Ivy League universities, leading Asian educational institutions, etc. This year, a noticeable increase in the amount of participants did not prevent Russian universities from strengthening their positions.
