Samara University International Student Wins Over Russian Beauty Contest Jurors

Forty-two girls competed in Miss Student of Russia 2017 beauty pageant.

Just 12 of them made the finals, including Samara University’s third-year student Eve Kattee from Kenya majoring in aircraft engineering. Eve, placed 6th, was the only foreigner among the participants.

The one-week beauty contest was hosted by Vladivostok-based Far Eastern Federal University. The girls had to showcase their talents in writing an essay, dancing, business role-playing game, social project justification, creativity, presentation and interview. Various contests and quizzes were part of the programme. The jury said all the contestants had done well as they had found unconventional solutions to tasks.

It is not the first beauty contest for Eve Kattee. In April 2017, she won Miss International crown in Samara.
