SibFU will run a Master’s programme on Financial Markets together with the University of Siena.

Students will take Banking and Finance at the Russian university and Economics of Financial Intermediaries and Management at the Italian one. Founded in 1240, the University of Siena is considered one of Italy’s oldest.

Courses in Krasnoyarsk and Siena will be read in English. Bachelors in Economics, Management or Mathematics (with strong knowledge of Economics) are eligible for this Master’s programme. English language proficiency of at least B1-B2 is one of the important admission requirements. Prospective students will also need to pass an oral exam in Finance and Credit in English.

The programme starts at September 2017. There are no state-funded spots on it, so all the students will have to pay for their tuition (3000 dollars per year).

Students will study for three semesters at their original university and one – at the partner institution. Their curriculum will include master classes, business cases, role-playing games, video conferences and other interactive teaching methods. Guest speakers (expert financiers) from other countries will read some of the lectures.

Students will present their graduate theses both on-site and remotely. Graduates will become experts in international financial markets.
