Siberian Federal University Offers Foreigners English-Taught Master’s Programme in Bioengineering

Foreign citizens having bachelor’s degree in Biology, Physics, Biophysics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Ecology or similar majors are welcome to apply.

SibFU intake for English-taught graduate studies in bioengineering is ongoing. Applicants are required to show certificates of graduation and proficiency in English. Tuition fee is 3,000 euros a year. Length of study is two years; students will take a two-year course in Bioluminescence (production of light by living organisms).

The programme is taught by skilled teachers of SibFU and other Russian universities; the curriculum includes lectures by visiting professors from the USA, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, China and other countries. Research can be conducted at the Bioluminescence Technology Lab headed by Osamu Shimomura, a laureate of the Nobel Prize in chemistry. Following programme completion and research paper defence, students are awarded master’s degree in bioengineering. Master’s degree holders can enrol in postgraduate studies.
