In the university there was a thematic quiz, which included tasks of different levels of complexity.

Students from China, Korea, Middle Asia, Mexico participated in the quiz. About 200 foreign students study at the preparatory department of the South Ural State University. They learn Russian and take courses, which are necessary for admission to the university. Both the students of the preparatory department and students of Master programs were able to see how well they knew the Russian language.

Language tests were held according to the ability level. Students, who have recently started to learn russian language, had to take tests for beginners or at pre-intermediate level. Students of Master programs and those who learn Russian already for several years competed at a more advanced level. They had to demonstrate their knowledge of Russian holidays and culture.

After summing up the results in each group, several winners were selected and awarded with certificates and prizes. Most of the winners were from students from China, Iraq and Jordan.
