Student Successes

UrFU offers students broad opportunities for development and self-realization. Students are actively involved in research activities: they work in laboratories and research centers, take part in the implementation of grants from the Russian Science Foundation (RSF), the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) and international organizations; they are also co-authors of articles in scientific journals indexed by Scopus and Web of Science databases. 

Every year, university students receive prestigious scholarships, including the Scholarship of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation, the Scholarship of the first President of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin, RUSAL Scholarship, Oxford Russia Fund Scholarship, international scholarship Unicredit & Universities Foundation, etc.

UrFU students take part in large-scale events as volunteers and participants, namely: Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi, International Universiade in Kazan, International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM, Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit 2019, 100+ Forum Russia. UrFU students permanently win at international science events, such as ACM ICPC International Student Programming Olympiad, KPMG International Case Competition, the Eurobot international robotics competition, and the CodinGame international programming competition.
