14 Russian universities entered the top 100 of THE University Impact Rankings

The British Times Higher Education magazine has published a new ranking of the universities' activity per the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The ranking includes 88 Russian universities, 14 of which are in the first 100 lines. In total, there are 1200 educational centres from 98 countries.

THE University Impact Rankings examines research activity, social programmes and impact on the global educational process according to SDGs. The result reflects the contribution of leading universities and organizations to solving problems around the world.

Sechenov University is the absolute leader of the Russian group in the Good Health and Well-being SDG. The centre received 27th place in the overall ranking which is 57 points higher compared to 2020.

Kazan Federal University showed brilliant results: 37th line in the Quality Education goal and the top 100 in Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions and Decent Work and Economic Growth.

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University entered the top 100 in Climate Action, Decent Work and Economic Growth and Zero Hunger goals.

Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions and Decent Work and Economic Growth, the two SDGs of sustainable development, are successfully implemented by the RUDN University.

ITMO University and the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University represented Russia well in the Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure category.
