Four Russian Universities Featured in THE Ranking by Subject
The results of prestigious survey have been announced.
The Times Higher Education Ranking by Subject includes only the most successful world’s universities. Previously, it ranked universities by six subject areas, in 2016 universities were divided into eight subject areas.Four Russian universities enter the ranking this year: Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology occupies 78th place in Physical Sciences, Moscow State University is at 66th place in Art and Humanities and at 43d place in Economics and Business.
Two other Russian universities appear in the THE Ranking by Subject for the first time, and both show excellent results: ITMO University is 56th in Computer Science (Informatics), and Higher School of Economics is 83d in Economics and Business.
The THE Ranking by Subject is made according to the same 13 indicators as the THE World University Ranking. By the way, in 2016 24 Russian universities were listed in the THE World University Ranking, that is twice as many compared to 2015.
