MIPT Invites Foreign Nationals to Physics and Maths Olympiad
Russian speaking schoolchildren in 9th-11th grades from former Soviet republics and beyond are welcome.
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology holds Phystech.International 2018 Olympiad in Physics and Mathematics. The tryouts contain of two stages. The first one will run online from 25 September till 30 November 2018. Registration is required. The second stage is onsite. 8 December is devoted to maths problems and 9 December to physics problems. The list of the host venues for the finals will be released after MIPT names preliminary round winners. All Olympiad problems are presented in Russian. Winners and laureates are entitled to extra points to their score in enrolling in MIPT undergraduate programmes.
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology provides quality engineering education as global university rankings show. In 2018, MIPT placed 48th for physical sciences in THE subject rankings, 67th for computer sciences and made it into the 51-100 group for physics and astronomy in QS rankings. International prospective students can choose various fields of study such as information technology, aerospace engineering, biophysical and medical technologies, applied mathematics and physics, radio engineering etc. See the complete list.
