The university has announced Intake 2019 results.

National University of Science and Technology MISIS admitted 688 applicants from 56 countries. The bulk of students came from former Soviet republics: Uzbekistan (234), Kazakhstan, (191), Tajikistan (79), Kyrgyzstan (39), Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Lithuania, Armenia and Azerbaijan. One hundred and seven people came from other countries such as Slovenia, France, Israel, Vietnam, China, Ghana, Guinea, Angola, Syria, India, Iran, Mongolia, Nigeria, Eritrea, Algeria, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Colombia, Peru, Paraguay etc. The most popular fields were Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mining Engineering, Technological Equipment, Informatics and Computer Science, Physics and Linguistics and Informatics and Linguistics.

National University of Science and Technology MISIS is located in Moscow. It provides quality education in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Humanities and Natural Sciences. Both Russian and English medium programmes are available to foreign nationals. For example, MISIS offers ten English-taught graduate programmes including Innovative Software Systems: Design, Development and Application and Advanced Materials Science and two PhD programmes (Condensed matter physics and quantum technologies and Materials Science of Non-Ferrous Metals and Alloys).
