Commonwealth of Independent States applicants took an intensive Russian course at the Russian university.

National University of Science and Technology MISIS has held a summer Russian language school for prospective students from CIS countries who plan to enrol in engineering majors. Twenty-five people from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan joined a short summer programme. They got to know the university; the language course had a special focus on engineering and technology vocabulary. It also included training in the basics of design at the MISIS School of Digital Communication: students constructed a robot in class. At the end of the course, the participants took part in an Olympiad in Russian and maths and received a course completion certificate which added ten extra points to MISIS applicant’s score. The cultural programme included various contests, quests and sport and intellectual competitions. The students took a Moskva river boat trip and saw places of interests such as the Kremlin, Tretyakov Gallery, Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve, Gorky Park, Darwin Museum, Moscow Zoo, Alexandrovsky Garden, Yershov Museum of Geology etc.

National University of Science and Technology MISIS is a Russian engineering university providing education in metallurgy, mining, materials science, nanotechnology, information technology, mechanical engineering, power engineering etc. The programme list you may find here.
