Global Graduate Employability Rankings listed 11 Russian universities

The latest QS report shows a big improvement for Russia from last year when just seven Russian higher education institutions were ranked. The two Russian universities in the top 150 in terms of graduate employability are Lomonosov Moscow State University (in the 111-120 bracket) and Saint Petersburg State University (in the 141-150 bracket).

Moscow State Institute of International Relations is in the 201-250 bracket, Higher School of Economics in the 251-300 brackets and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and National University of Science and Technology MISiS are in the 301-500 bracket.

The 301-500 bracket also includes the Russian universities which entered QS Graduate Employability Rankings for the first time. They are Novosibirsk State University, National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute), and Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

QS Graduate Employability Rankings is a recent research project which first released its findings in 2015. It shows employment rates of top universities’ alumni in different countries and compares universities’ performance in terms of graduate employability prospects. The rankings are based on five parameters including employer reputation, alumni outcomes and partnership with employers per faculty.
