International students’ registration opens on 25 September 2017.

Don’t miss these academic competitions if you have excellent results in the study of physics, maths and other technical sciences. Phystech.International is a physics and math contest for 9th-12th grade pupils from Russia, CIS and other countries. Participants have to pass online preselection to be able to compete in the first, on-campus round of the Olympiad. The final trials in maths and physics will take place separately on 16 and 17 December. The countries hosting the final round will be named on 1 December. The list will be based on the results of the online stage.

“Start in Science” is a sci-tech Olympiad which also has two rounds; applications are accepted from 5th to 11th grade schoolchildren living in former Soviet republics. Participants are required to prepare a topic-based paper and submit it by 8 January 2018. On-campus round will run on 17-24 February; young scientists will read their reports on the chosen topic to MIPT Commission. Participants are invited to attend popular science lectures and interactive master classes and see university laboratories. An entertainment programme offers sightseeing tours, games and films. Both Olympiads are conducted in Russian. The Olympiad winners and laureates have an advantage in enrolling at MIPT.
