Lomonosov Moscow State University in the 101-110 group led other domestic higher education centres. The QS top list included Higher School of Economics in the 251-300 group, and Moscow engineering universities (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and National University of Science and Technology MISIS) and Novosibirsk State University in the 301-500 group. The above universities were listed in other global university rankings 2018 such as THE Emerging Economies University Rankings and QS Rankings by Subject.

It is the third edition of QS Graduate Employability Rankings reflecting the labour market demand for graduates of the world’s top universities. Five indicators are used to assess universities in the graduate employability ranking: employer reputation (a key indicator based on responses from 40,000 employers), alumni successes (creative, financial, scientific etc.), employer partnerships, employer-student connections and graduate employment (within 12 months of graduation).
