SPbPU awards the best international graduates
Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University is highly popular among talented students from all over the world. Today, about 8000 foreigners study there. In February 2021, Polytech held an award ceremony for the best graduates.
This year, 11 students from Vietnam became holders of honours degrees. Among them is Ngo Tang Fu, who graduated in the Design and operation of nuclear power plants speciality and will now be able to operate the most advanced control systems of nuclear power plants. It is not the first time that students from Vietnam have graduated from SPbPU with distinction - last year Nguyen Tien Hoang became a gold medallist as well.
The graduation was also a success for international PhD students. Ramadan Amer from Syria defended his PhD thesis. Ramadan studied at SPbPU for 7 years. He started by learning Russian at the preparatory department went on to complete his PhD studies in Nuclear, Thermal and Renewable Energy and Related Technologies. Now he plans to return to Syria and help solve pressing energy supply problems using modern technologies and his research.
